KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A pedestrian is injured after she was struck by a vehicle in Kalamazoo’s Edison Neighborhood.
It happened around 6:30 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Mills Street and Kings Highway near Homer Stryker Field.
When Kalamazoo Public Safety officers arrived they located the 18-year-old Kalamazoo resident lying in the intersection and they began administering treatment.
The driver, a 49-year-old man, stayed on scene. The teen girl was transported to Bronson Hospital for minor, non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
The crash is still under investigation, but authorities do not believe alcohol was a factor. No other details have been released at this time.
