KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Two Kalamazoo men are now in jail after showing off firearm magazines in broad daylight.
Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety police caught the offenders during a patrol in the 400 block of West Frank Street on Saturday.
Police said they saw multiple people showing each other extended firearm magazines around a parked vehicle. Officers approached the individuals and saw firearms inside the passenger compartment of the vehicle.
Police then searched the vehicle and found controlled substances, digital scales and several magazines filled with ammunition.
Authorities say a 19-year-old and 23-year-old are now lodged in the Kalamazoo County Jail awaiting arraignment on weapons offenses.
