Stefani Bishop
JACK was on the road this weekend with sister station HITS 96.5 tailgating at Western Michigan University’s 2021 homecoming game. Jordan Lass of HITS, and I, Stefani Bishop of JACK, braved the cold and cloudy weather to bring a bit of whimsy and shenanigans to the students, alums, and future classes. We met so many nice people and gave them the opportunity to win great prizes… or absolute shlock. It wasn’t up to us. It was up to the wheel.

- Just like a lot of siblings, JACK and HITS had to share a room.

- There was very little complaining about who was staying on who’s side. Mom would be proud.

- Because of the wind, we decided to be as minimal as possible. You’d be surprised how many objects can suddenly become kites.

- Several generations of Western fans were in attendance, and all got to spin the JACK wheel for a chance at fabulous (and not so fabulous) prizes.

- These alums sported layer after layer of the Western love… like a brown and gold onion.

- We got a group of students to cheer “Go, Broncos!” for all of them to have a chance at the wheel. I can hear this photo.

- The student on the far left spun first. Got herself a sweet gift card to Erbelli’s on Stadium. Her five friends weren’t quite as lucky, and walked away with noise makers, army men, and dinosaur figures… or whatever else we had in our big box of surprises.

- The next WMU tailgate is for an evening game on November 3rd. Find the JACK booth on Oliver and Oliver try your luck against the JACK wheel where everyone is a winner (sort of).
