CENTREVILLE MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A routine traffic stop in St. Joseph County led to the arrest of a Marcellus man.
Deputies stopped the 28 year old suspect at around 2:00 a.m. Monday near the area of Broadway and Constantine Streets in Three Rivers. After a search, police found the man had an outstanding warrant and was driving with a suspended license.
He was taken to the St. Joseph County Jail, where it was discovered he was attempting to smuggle in narcotics.
Authorities have turned over the case to the county Prosecutor’s office, where charges of possession of meth, smuggling contraband into the jail, and driving while license suspended are being sought.
