CASSOPOLIS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 36-year-old Cassopolis man is dead after his vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, causing it to go off the roadway, striking an embankment.
The single vehicle crash happened near the intersection of Calvin Hill Street and Turpin Road around 4:40 p.m. Sunday in Cass County’s Jefferson Township
The investigation shows that William Jones, was traveling south bound on Robinson Road.when he missed the curve. Jones was ejected from the vehicle during the crash, and died of his injuries at the scene of the accident.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Department says seatbelts were not worn and it is unknown if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the crash.
