OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A suspect is in custody following a stabbing Thursday morning in Kalamazoo County’s Oshtemo Township.
Around 4:15 a.m. Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 7700 block of West KL Avenue in Oshtemo Township for a reported stabbing. While enroute deputies were informed that a male subject had been stabbed and the suspect was fleeing the scene on foot.
With Deputies and EMS on scene, the victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. With the assistance of the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety, and Western Michigan Police, other deputies began to search the area for the suspect, who was located and arrested a short time later.
The suspect is currently lodged in the Kalamazoo County Jail. No names have been released in the case.
