KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Even though the power is back on, the clean-up from the May 15 major storm in Kalamazoo continues.
Curbside collection of fallen branches and limbs from the storm will start Tuesday, May 27 for city residents. You can place any volume and any size of fallen branches, limbs, or debris from trees at the curb for collection.
City officials say material should be placed in the curb lawn or at the curb, keeping sidewalks and roadways clear.
City crews have been working to clean up storm debris since the storm and will continue with curbside collection according to the following schedule, moving from south to north in each area:
Area B: Pickup starts Tuesday, May 27
Area C: Pickup starts Monday, June 2
Area A: Pickup starts Monday, June 9

Seniors, individuals with disabilities, or anyone physically unable to move their debris can call 311 for assistance. In addition to curbside collection, residents can drop off branches, limbs, and tree debris at the marked location at 322 East Stockbridge Avenue through Friday, June 27.
