ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A missing kayaker has been found safe in St. Joseph County.
The sheriff’s office received a report at 7 p.m. Wednesday of a kayaker who did not return after a trip along the Fawn River.
They launched a large-scale search and rescue effort with the Indiana DNR, White Pigeon police, the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office Dive Rescue, and Lifecare.
The kayaker was found safe and evaluated by medical personnel on the scene and was not seriously injured.
The person’s name has not been released.
