KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The city of Kalamazoo is asking residents and visitors to take the latest Downtown Vitality Study survey online.
The survey is done twice a year by the city and Western Michigan University’s Transportation Research Center for Livable Communities to track how people experience downtown and informs decisions that support businesses, accessibility, and community vibrancy.
The previous survey revealed patterns in how people use and view downtown, emphasizing walkability and accessibility. Visitors highlighted dining, leisure, and the desire to have more events and attractions.
Participants across the board pointed to opportunities to improve downtown through parking, traffic, and safety measures.
The survey is open through October 31, 2025, and it can be taken by following this link.
