KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Animal Rescue Project – The Charles and Lynn Zhang Animal Rescue Center is holding a grand opening celebration Thursday at its new facility in Kalamazoo.
Located at 1616 Construction Drive off of Sprinkle Road just north of Wynn Road and the I-94 Business Loop, the ceremony will start at 5:30 p.m.
Officials say the new space marks a major milestone in their mission to serve, rehab, and rehome homeless pets in and beyond southwest Michigan.
The facility will allow them to increase rescue and adoption opportunities and expand community programming such as their “Keeping People & Pets Together” initiative, which partners with the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission to care for pets belonging to the homeless and domestic violence victims.
Guided tours of the facility will be available along with refreshments and light hors d’oeuvres. Half off all adoption fees will also be given all day on October 30th.
