MASON TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says alcohol may have been a factor in a Halloween night crash in Mason Township.
Around 10:50 p.m. deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on Old M 205 and Redfield Street.
They say their investigation showed that a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Kyle Clay Alley of Burr Oak was eastbound on Redfield Street when he failed to yield to oncoming traffic. Alley’s vehicle was then struck by a southbound vehicle driven by 21-year-old Ray Albert Walls II of Elkhart, Indiana.
Alley’s passenger, 20-year-old Josclynn Nichole Hankinson of South Bend, Indiana was transported by SEPSA Ambulance to Elkhart General Hospital for injuries sustained in the traffic crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
