KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Gilmore Piano Festival is making some big announcements.
Discover Kalamazoo’s Jane Ghosh told Kalamazoo city commissioners last night that a big change is coming next year.
“It’s been a biannual event. Beginning in 2026, it will be annual,” says Ghosh.
She says the Piano Festival is a very big event for local tourism, and one of those events that puts Kalamazoo on the map.
“NPR called the Gilmore International piano festival the greatest gathering of piano talent in the Western Hemisphere. It is a phenomenal event that brings people from around the world to our fine city.”
The Gilmore will be holding its preview event Wednesday to announce who the headline acts will be on next year’s festival calendar, which will run from April 30th to May 10th.
