KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Wednesday, officials with the Township of Kalamazoo Police Department announced that two suspects have been charged in a double homicide that occurred in late December.
Police say the case concerns the double homicide of Floyd Lee Brashers Junior and Katoya Johnna McPherson, who were reported dead on December 29, 2020. Police say the incident occurred in the 3500 block of Parkside Drive.
On February 22, police arrested 19-year-old Tonesha Taylor-McMillon on two counts of open murder. She is currently in custody on those charges, according to police.
On Monday, March 29, police arrested a 24-year-old man on two counts of felony murder, three counts of felony firearm, and one count of first degree home invasion. The Kalamazoo County Office of the Prosecuting Attorney reviewed these charges and authorized all of them.
Police said he would be arraigned Wednesday.
His name was not released, but MLive later reported that the suspect is identified as Dangelo Davis of Kalamazoo.
The case remains under investigation at this time.
