KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A portion of westbound I-94 in Kalamazoo closed for about two hours on Thursday afternoon, November 18. The closure was due to a crash involving several vehicles.
According to the Michigan State Police, the crash happened around 2:45 past mile marker 78 after the Sprinkle Road exit when a semitrailer and a mini van collided. The collision sent the mini van into the median affecting a portion of eastbound I-94 in that area as well.
Authorities say that two people were injured and taken to local hospitals.
That section of I-94 reopened around 4:45 p.m., and the crash itself remains under investigation.
