KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the woman killed in a car crash Saturday morning, May 7.
56-year-old Patricia Bradtke of Schoolcraft, died after a crash around 6:49 a.m. on South 8th Street in Texas Township.
Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 10800 Block of South 8th Street and determined that the vehicle, driven by Bradtke, was traveling southbound on South 8th Street when it went off the roadway to the right for an unknown reason. After the vehicle left the roadway, it then struck a tree.
Bradtke, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, sustained fatal injuries due to the accident and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Authorities say it is unknown if alcohol or speed were factors in this crash which still remains under investigation.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Michigan State Police, Texas Twp Fire Department and Pride Care EMS.
