BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Battle Creek Fire Department is reporting no injuries after an early morning house fire on Sunday, July 17.
Firefighter crews were dispatched to 146 Central Street around 3:44 a.m. where they found fire and smoke showing from the basement of the two-story home.
Crews brought the flames under control within 30 minutes.
The fire, which cause more than $200,000 in damage, is believed by investigators to have started in the basement.
The exact cause is being investigated by the Fire Marshal.
