KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The 60th annual Maple Hill Holiday Parade returns to downtown Kalamazoo this Saturday, November 19th.
The parade is set to begin at Lovell and Jasper Streets at 11 a.m. and will feature balloons and floats from nearly 100 participants and sponsors along with music from the Western Michigan University marching band.
Organizers say the event will feature plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy which will begin immediately after the parade. Activities will include, but will not be limited to discounts and special promotions at local restaurants and retail stores, the Elf on Shelf card game, performances from a local dance troupe and live music concert.
Younger parade goers and those young at heart will also have a chance to meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus at the Kalamazoo Valley Museum.
Parade officials do remind the public however, that no parking will be allowed on the parade route itself.
The full parade route, a complete list of activities and sponsors are all listed online at kalamazooholidayparade.org
