KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Schools are closed throughout west Michigan due to the lake effect snow storm that has made for dangerous driving conditions. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 7:00 a.m. Saturday.
Kalamazoo Public Schools is among the dozens closed across the area.
The storm is expected to bring six to 12 inches of snow in nine counties including Kalamazoo, Kent, Ottawa, and Van Buren.
More snow accumulation is expected during the day Saturday and Saturday night.
