SCHOOLCRAFT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A GoFundMe has been set up by the family of 14-year-old Kayla Davison. She was the teenager who was struck by a bus while attempting to cross US-131 in Schoolcraft nearly a week ago on Monday, July 31.
Davison was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries following the accident.
The fundraiser says, “We are focused on getting Kayla back to her bubbly energetic self , she is definitely fighting like hell right now thanks to god , and all of you that have said prayers for her our family is extremely grateful for all the love and support and human compassion that the community has shown us at this difficult time.”
So far, more than $7,000 has been raised towards a $50,000 dollar goal.
