COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Comstock Public Schools will use a $21,000 grant from the state to renew a pilot program using artificial intelligence to boost literacy.
Superintendent Jeffrey Thoenes says students get up to two years of growth from one year using Amira and says “that’s pretty exciting.”
Thoenes says when a district has students that need catching up, the program shows excellent results.
The website for Amira says the product connects assessment, tutoring, and instruction in one program and can listen to students read aloud and assess their skill level.
