PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Portage Central High School boy’s varsity swim team reached a new high water mark this year and this week they were honored by the Portage city council.
They not only won the SMAAC Conference title for a second year but went undefeated two years in a row. The swimming Mustangs also finished in 4th place at the state Swim and Dive Finals, higher than they have ever gone in state competitions.
Coach Michelle Greene says it’s been a special year.
The council voted to declare March 14th Portage Central Swim and Dive Day in the city.
