KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The ousted Kalamazoo Township treasurer has filed paperwork to run for the seat again.
Kalamazoo Township officials, however, are trying to stop Sherine Miller from being on the ballot, and she is facing her replacement, Clara Robinson, in the Democratic primary on August 4th.
The winner of the primary will win the election in November, as no Republicans filed to run for the office.
Miller resigned in March and township officials say her resignation and separation agreement make her “not eligible to have your name printed on the primary ballot for possible election to the unexpected term of office that you resigned from.”
