DEARBORN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The average price of a gallon of gas in Michigan is skyrocketing higher, up 71¢ in the last week and a $1.35 higher than last year.
Triple-A Michigan says the statewide average is up to $4.58, and many stations are at $5 a gallon for regular unleaded.
Diesel fuel is up to $5.38 a gallon,$1.89 higher than last year.
The all-time record high price for a gallon of gas in Michigan is $5.22, set on June 11th, 2022.
