OAKLAND COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – President Donald Trump visited Michigan Monday, telling supporters his economic policies and tariffs will bring more jobs to the state.
Speaking at General Motors’ Milford Proving Ground, Trump argued tariffs on foreign vehicles will strengthen domestic manufacturing and said economic improvements will become apparent soon. The president also discussed the war with Iran and investments at Selfridge Air National Guard Base.
Trump used part of the appearance to promote Republican candidates ahead of Michigan’s August 4 primary.
