DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Former Vice President Kamala Harris spent Tuesday in Detroit campaigning with Democratic U.S. Senate nominee Dr. Abdul El-Sayed.
The two took part in a “fireside chat” at Fellowship Chapel hosted by the Detroit Branch NAACP.
Harris told voters who are disillusioned that “we cannot take ourselves out of the game,” noting fundamental freedoms and rights in the U.S. are under attack.
She says the Trump administration is “trying to take our tools” by gutting the Voting Rights Act.
Harris urged Black voters to support El-Sayed in droves in the November election.
