KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Congressman Bill Huizenga toured the tornado damage in Kalamazoo County this week.
He flew in a helicopter with a FEMA official from Chicago along with state Representative Matt Hall along the entire path of the EF-2 tornado that hit Portage before getting on the ground and looking at the damage.
Huizenga discussed what he saw on WKZO Mornings with Ken Lanphear.
He says he spoke with a colleague from Oklahoma before heading back to southwest Michigan from Washington DC and says he got several good tips for dealing with a disaster like the tornadoes that hit the area Tuesday.
