KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Pregnant women in the city of Kalamazoo can now receive $1,500 before the baby is born and $500 a month for the baby’s first year.
It’s the RX Kids program that has been successful in Flint and has now launched in the city of Kalamazoo.
That was Alyssa Stewart with the Kalamazoo Community Foundation.
A kickoff event was held yesterday from noon to 4 p.m. at the Kalamazoo Valley Museum and people can enroll in the program at RXKids.org.
People need to provide proof they live in the city and are pregnant, but there is no limit based on their income.
