BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 17-year-old boy is in custody of Battle Creek police and accused of two counts of attempted murder.
He turned himself in after he allegedly shot a 17-year-old girl and an 18-year-old man, both from Battle Creek, on April 19th in the area of North McKinley Avenue and NE Capital Avenue.
The two were in a parked vehicle that was shot several times and drove themselves to a nearby hospital.
The suspect is expected to be charged with attempted murder and weapons violations.
Police say he turned himself in with his mother last week.
