KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – City leaders in Kalamazoo will hold what they’re calling a preconstruction meeting on June 23rd from 4 to 5 p.m. at Metro Transit at 530 North Rose Street.
People are invited to attend to learn more about the reconstruction of Kalamazoo Avenue in the city’s Streets for All project and it will have practical information about upcoming construction activities.
Those include project phasing, traffic routing, access, communications, and what residents, businesses, and visitors can expect during construction.
City staff, project engineers, and the construction management team will provide a presentation covering the project, construction schedule, anticipated impacts, and what community members can expect throughout construction.
After the presentation, people can ask about the schedule, traffic routing and access during the work, what people should expect, how to stay informed about the project, and the long-term benefits of the Streets for All initiative.
The meeting will be recorded and made available online for those unable to attend in person.
