KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – An 18-year-old man is in custody this morning in Kalamazoo after a mid-afternoon shooting at Elm and West Ransom streets in the Stuart neighborhood Tuesday.
Public safety officers quickly responded to reports of shots fired and flushed the teen from a hiding place, recovering the gun and several spent casings.
Investigators aren’t saying what the intended target might have been.
No one was reported injured.
He was caught shortly after he tried to run from officers.
The suspect is being held for resisting arrest and firearm charges.
