June 29 (Reuters) – Pakistan’s security forces carried out an intelligence-based ground operation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border on Sunday, followed by “calibrated strikes” on militant hideouts, killing 29 fighters, the Associated Press reported on Monday, citing officials.
Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said on social media platform X the action was launched in response to multiple militant attacks across the country, the report said.
Reuters could not immediately verify the report.
