PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Portage city council has voted to make Adam Herringa their interim city manager when Pat McGinnis retires just before the 4th of July holiday.
Portage Mayor Pro-Tem Jim Pearson says he has served as the interim city manager before and did a good job.
Last time he served in the post 9 months.
This time the council hopes to get the job done more quickly.
McGinnis has held down the city’s top administrative position for the last four years.
